oObly TV's Amarai checks out the Samsung Galaxy Note device, which is a "Tablet meets Smart Phone" device at CES 2012 in Las Vegas. The Samsung Galaxy Note features a giant 1280 x 800 screen with a Super AMOLED panel. Inside, the Galaxy Note boasts a 1.4GHz dual-core processor, a full 1 GB of RAM Memory and 16 to 32 gigabytes of physical storage hard drive. There is even a MicroSD card slot for exchanging data that you won't find on the iPad. The Galaxy note size is just right, and fits inside most jean pockets fine. That said, holding it next to your ear for a phone call might just be a tad bit awkward and nerdy to say the least. Consider yourself warned. The ping and zoom and the apps are all courtesy the Android Gingerbread OS. The Galaxy Note also comes with a stylus-like S-pen featuring a secondary button that lets you access more features in Samsung's custom apps. OmniSketch, the Galaxy Note's built-in art creation tool was a hit the CES. Samsung even had a special service where you could get your caricature for free, made by professional artists using Omnisketch on the Galaxy Note. Camera: The Galaxy Note's 8MP camera is the best of the breed, matching the iPhone 4S. We tried taking some photos and they came out quite sharp and clear with good contrast and color at various distances.
